Larkspur V

This project, located near the Corona Del Mar Village, uses simple geometry to create a high level of contrast between solid and void, with large sliding doors opening both the great room and the master suite above to the outside, while heavy framing elements and walls conceal much of the private program spaces within the home. The use of materials has a similar effect: light wood and stucco elements stand in stark opposition to the dark zinc and aluminum facade.
