Fernleaf II
Corona Del Mar, CAThis project has a feeling of ‘beachy’ meets traditional influence. Nestled one block from the ocean, this contemporary home is the primary residence for a couple and their two daughters. While creating a friendly and open environment, the house was designed around natural light and dramatic views of the ocean and jetty. Traditional materials were used to enhance the timeless quality of the architecture while meeting the clients needs.
The top roof top deck takes full advantage of the panoramic views of the jetty beach and corona del mar.
THE OPEN FLOOR CONCEPT OF THE MAIN FLOOR CONNECTS THE KITCHEN, DINING, GREAT ROOM TO BOTH AN INTERNAL COURTYARD AND THE FRONT YARD.
Lime washed brick, french oak flooring and exposed wood beams add character to the fluid design of the indoor/outdoor connection.
